The Hood County Commissioner's Court will receive bids for the TxCDBG Sewer System Improvements project until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Acton Municipal Utility District Office, located at 6420 Lusk Branch Ct., Granbury, Texas 76049, at which time the Bids received will be publically opended and read aloud.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows:
1. Installation of approximately 30 residential grinder pump station assemblies and service lines to replace existing septic systems. Installation shall include all items required to furnish and install a complete and functioning grinder pump station and service lines at each project address.
2. Abandonment and decommissioning of approximately 30 existing septic systems.
The Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications may be obtained from Civcast at www.civcastusa.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents, Drawings and Technical Specificaitons at the Engineer's Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and the Acton Muinicipal Utility District Office, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Hood County Commissioner's Court or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Pollicy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00
The Hood County Commissioner's Court reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the Hood County Commissioner's Court for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
