AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLES 3.04, 3.06, 3.07, 3.12, 3.13, 3.15, 3.20, 3.21, 5.02, 6.03 AND 6.04, AND DELETING SECTIONS OF ARTICLE 6.05, OF THE GRANBURY CITY CODE, AS AMENDED, BY ADOPTING CERTAIN INTERNATIONAL CODES RELATING TO BUILDINGS, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, RESIDENTIAL AND ENERGY CONSERVATION; RESOLVING INCONSISTENCIES BETWEEN STATE, FEDERAL AND INTERNATIONAL CODE AND THE CITY'S CODE; PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMULATIVE OF ALL ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
SECTION 18.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 19.
The City Secretary of the City of Granbury is hereby authorized to publish in the official newspaper of the City of Granbury, the caption, penalty clause, publication clause, and effective date clause of this ordinance one time within ten days.
SECTION 20.
This ordinance shall become effective June 1, 2021, after its passage and publication as required by law.
