A public meeting is being held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 10 am in the conference room of the Acton Municipal Utility District located at 6420 Lusk Branch Court, Granbury, Texas 76049 to discuss the proposed Clean Water State Revolving Fund Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 Improvements Project (TWDB 73877). The proposed project consists of improvements at the existing WWTP No. 2 to address the facility's current operational challenges and complete the facility expansion to increase the capacity to 0.82 million gallons per day in accordance with the current Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permit. The improvements include replacement or rehabilitation of existing treatment units as well as implementation of new secondary treatment technology, a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) system. One of the purposes of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it. Some project elements will be constructed in the 100-year floodplain. Alternatives to construction in a floodplain, potential impacts on floodplains, and proposed mitigation measures will be addressed during the public meeting. The total estimated cost of the proposed project is $13,030,000. The estimated monthly bill for a typical resident is currently $67.18. No user rate increase is anticipated due to this proposed project. An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O.
