A public meeting is being held on Monday, January 21, 2019, at 7:00 pm in the Rolling Hills Water Service Building located at 2522 Indian Gap Street, Weatherford, TX 76087 to discuss the Rolling Hills Water Service's proposed Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Water System Improvements project (TWDB 62721) to make improvements to its water treatment and distribution system, including construction of a new water treatment plant to be located at 6612 Aleman Street, in the Rolling Hills Shore Subdivision in Hood County, Texas. One of the purposes of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it. This project involves construction in the 100-year floodplain and construction located in wetlands. Alternatives to construction in a floodplain/wetland, potential impacts on floodplains/wetlands, and proposed mitigation measures will be addressed during the public meeting. The total estimated cost of the proposed project is $2,330,000. The estimated monthly bill for a typical resident is currently $44.95. A user rate increase of 30% will be required to finance this project bringing the typical resident monthly bill to $58.45. An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231. An environmental information document (EID) for the project has been prepared which will be available for public review at the Rolling Hills Water Service Building located at 2522 Indian Gap Street, Weatherford, TX 76087 between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm for 30 days following the date of this notice.
